Brief History of Lime-O-Lux

Basically one day a Limey lad (James) and a Luxembourgish lass (Véronique) decided enough was enough - comedy in Luxembourg was clearly in short supply. We weren’t fooled by the cinema listings that tell you Film X is a ‘comédie’ which is French for ‘reasonably light-hearted drama about sex-hungry bourgeois Parisians being a bit promiscuous and then regretting it a bit.’ Neither should you be, which is why Lime-O-Lux decided to bring a touch of Anglo-Irish-American-Antipodean-type one-bloke-and-a-mike stand-up to Luxembourg.

Thanks to various sponsors (FoCuNa, Fortuna Bank, 123 Communications and Books'n'Beans), media support from 352 magazine and appearances on Ara City Radio , we’ve so far held four successful events in Luxembourg (three Stand-Up clubs in Scott's Pub and one special show in Kulturfabrik), importing top-notch talent from the UK to tickle the funnybones of ex-pat English speakers and non-native Anglophones alike. And what could be nicer than that after a hard day at whatever bank/investment broker you embezzle from?
